🎤 Lyrics Prompter (iPod Lyrics Widget)

Basic infos

  1. The lyrics prompter uses an iOS16 feature called Live Activity so your iPhone must be on iOS16.1 later. (⚠️ iOS16.0 won’t work either!)
  2. Lyrics Prompter doesn’t work on iPads because Apple didn’t give iPads to show Live Activity, even if you are using iPadOS16 later.
  3. The Lyrics Prompter are only showing on your Lock Screen. They won’t show anything on your Home Screen.
  4. You need to add the Lyrics Launcher to your Home Screen first. They are either small rectangular widgets or medium widgets that only do one thing: to launch the Lyrics Prompter on your Lock Screen with matching color (silver or black).

When I tap the Lyrics Launcher widget, nothing happened on my Lock Screen.

Make sure your your phone is on iOS16.1 or later. (Yes iOS16.0 won’t work) Also make sure you are using the latest Handy app version. (At least 2.0.3 or later). If the problem persists, make sure you allow Handy to push notifications. The lyrics prompter needs that do display Live Activity on your Lock Screen. (Because technically Live Activity is a form of live notifications)

There is a significant lag between the actual lyrics and the Lyrics Prompter.

Tap the Lyrics Launcher widget (on your Home Screen) to do a manual refresh.

On my Lock Screen it shows “view not load properly”

Try install the Lyrics Prompter again.

🚧 General

I couldn’t find Handy in the list when adding the widget.

This is a common iOS bug that happening for newly installed apps. Try wait a bit longer then the app will appear in the list automatically. The waiting time differs from person to person, usually it is several minutes but could last for hours.

Couldn’t use “Sign in with Apple”?

Apple has some weird restriction of prohibiting people under 13 to “Sign in with Apple”. We are adding more sign-in options so more people can use Handy! For more you may check this video (this is for Amoung Us but same problem) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgFc-98m00g

After running the installation, no icons were installed.
